What is the Greig Zoning Law Update?
The Town of Greig adopted its first Comprehensive Plan in April 2026. Shortly after, the Town was awarded a grant from New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) to update its Zoning Law to align with the directions of the Comprehensive Plan. LaBella Associates, Byer Planning and Amy Fitzgerald Planning were hired by the Town to support with the update. In June 2026, the Zoning Advisory Steering Committee kicked-off the Zoning Law update project.
This website will serve as the primary source for information related to the Zoning Law Update. It will be updated regularly with project information, meeting summaries, and public engagement opportunities.

This workshop will cover the same materials and questions that were presented in the Public Workshop that was held on August 25, 2026—waterfront and residential zoning.

August 25, 2026 - 5:30pm to 6:30pm at Greig Town Hall (5186 Greig Road)
The purpose of this discussion is to understand what improvements can be made to the Town’s Zoning Law as it relates to residential uses and waterfront properties.
This is the first in a series of in-person and virtual engagement events that will be held on different topics including short-term rentals, renewable energy, and economic development.
